CHRISTMAS 2005, HAPPY NEW YEAR 2006!
The big news from our family this year is the birth of our second daughter, Rachel Jade Plummer. She arrived just in time for Christmas on December 21st, 2005 at 8:28 PM. She weighed 8 lbs 6 oz and was 20 inches long. She looks like Julie with darker hair and is a very well mannered/patient baby.

Our happy go lucky 2½ year old, Hailey, is a chess, cheese and Clifford-lover. She also can’t get enough of Elmo and Thomas the Tank Engine. This year Hailey has been learning to talk and is mastering potty-training. Hailey occasionally puts herself to bed when she’s tired or in time-out after she’s done something wrong. At the end of September she bravely spent two nights in the hospital for pneumonia and we learned she probably has asthma.

Earlier in the year, Julie enjoyed spending Hailey’s nap time learning world geography, performing science experiments and teaching math as she home-schooled a teenage girl. At church Julie enjoyed the challenges of teaching the adult Gospel Doctrine class. She’s glad that the pregnancy is over and looks forward to wearing something other than maternity attire.

In the fall we took a little trip to Kirtland, Ohio & Palmyra, New York to see the Church historical sites in the area. On the return trip we visited Niagra Falls. Hailey wasn't exactly excited about getting a shower in the middle of the day at the bottom of the falls, but we enjoyed seeing the massive amounts of water flowing over the falls.

This year Jon spent many of his working hours making minor design changes to the Toyota Avalon and preparing for the new Toyota Ace; a new vehicle still in the works. At home most of his time went to home improvement projects. These included refinishing & installing new cabinets, laying ceramic tile, painting and installing chair rail and putting in laminate flooring. He continues teaching one of the 7 year old Primary classes at church.

Our family feels extremely blessed to live in a time of central heating for Michigan winters, modern medicine for kids with pneumonia, and the restored gospel on the earth. Along with reading the Book of Mormon as a family and the other miracles of this year, our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ has been strengthened. We join with the rest of the world in celebrating His glorious birth.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Plummers!
